Heritage High School is the second of two 272,000-sq.-ft. new-construction high schools built by D.H. Griffin offering complete facilities and a capacity of over 2,200 students. The main school building contains three stories of classrooms, two gymnasiums, auditorium, media center, cafeteria/kitchen, and offices. Heritage is located on a 110-acre site and includes athletic facilities for both the school and the Town of Wake Forest. Facilities include four practice fields, three softball fields, one baseball diamond, football/soccer/track stadium, two outdoor basketball courts, and six tennis courts. The design of Heritage is identical to that of Panther Creek High School, which DHGC also constructed.
