N.C. A&T State University
The 88,674-sq.-ft. new construction building at NC A&T State University provides the university with state-of-the-art classrooms and a learning environment designed to enhance collaboration. The new building is a three-story multi-use building that serves the entire spectrum of the University’s student body, offering classrooms, offices, and a spacious central lobby. Also included are supplementary support/flex spaces such as shared conference rooms, a faculty lounge, and informal student-faculty meeting spaces.
The building’s classrooms range from 48 to 128 seats and feature state-of-the-art A/V systems that are optimized for the learning environment. Two computer classrooms and two distance learning classrooms are also included. The building’s public areas are designed to encourage collaborative learning and team building, as well as facilitate circulation. Building construction occurred on an extremely tight and pedestrian-heavy site in the middle of N.C. A&T’s busy campus.
